I felt the same, although I wasn't particularly surprised. I always
doubted the viability of a PPC card for the A2000.

Look for a cheap secondhand A4000. Check out places like the local
papers and free ad papers. You'll sometimes find someone selling off old
gear that's been lying around for a while and is fairly worthless in
their eyes.
