It's probably down to the missing instructions in 040/060. Blizzard cards
come with cyberpatcher also available from ftp.phase5.de. Otherwise you'll
probably need Oxypatcher. It patches executables to speed them up by
removing the unsupported instructions which would otherwise have to be
emulated.
Only tried cyberpatcher on my 060, and it does help.
