Long before his memorable turn as the Jaguar driver in Speed, Plummer wowed critics with his raw portrayal of an ex-gang leader trying to protect his son from following in his footsteps in South Central.

I n Showgirls, Plummer plays James Smith, a former dancer who wants to "help" Nomi, but for questionable reasons.

Plummer's other credits include Menace II Society, Trespass, Pastime, and the made-for-cable movie Murderous Vision. Another of his current films, Things to Do in Denver When YouÕre Dead, is scheduled to be released next month.
