Owner Al Torres' Cheetah Club is far from being one-of-a-kind. It's one of countless seedy strip joints that dot the side streets just off the higher-rent, higher-class Las Vegas Strip. Visitors to the Cheetah Club can expect uncomfortably loud heavy metal, runway bars, and a seemingly endless supply of naked women, bumping and grinding to the music and slithering up and down brass poles. Between dances, guests are often entertained by Henrietta Bazoom, a hefty, bawdy woman who's been around the block and has the tasteless jokes to prove it. For $50, customers can visit a cordoned-off back room with a dancer of their choice for their own private lap dance.
The dancers, a tightly-knit community of young, well-built women, congregate in the club's tiny dressing room before performances to discuss the trials and tribulations of their line of work.
