Emma Forbes is one of the most well known faces on Children’s Television. She has co-hosted the Children’s BBC flagship programme ‘Live and Kicking’ on Saturday mornings (September to April) with Andi Peters for the last two years and has just finished presenting the third series of two highly acclaimed ITV studio discussion programmes ‘Speakeasy’ and ‘Speakeasy Does The Business’.
‘Talking Telephone.Numbers’ with Phillip Schofield started its third series in January ‘96.
Emma is currently recording her third series as presenter of the long running ‘What’s My Line’ programme which can be seen in the HTV and Anglia regions.
Emma began on Saturday morning TV, presenting regular cookery items with Phillip Schofield on the enormously successful ‘Going Live’. This led to her becoming involved in a number of the live shows and outside broadcasts as well as appearing as a guest presenter.
Emma’s has worked extensively within the corporate and communications market presenting videos for British Airways, British Home Stores, UEA Airways and Dunhill as well as a series of programmes for BUPA on Satellite Business Television.
Emma has also enjoyed working on Radio, presenting ‘Weekend Listener’ a monthly magazine on cassette for the blind and Radio Lollipop, the children’s charity radio station.
Autumn 1994 saw the publication of her second cookery book, ‘Emma Entertains’ published by Pavillion Books, following the success of the previous year’s Going Live cook book. Emma’s third cookery book ‘Take Three Cooks’ with her mother, Nanette Newman and sister is published in Autumn ‘96. Her other work has included writing monthly articles for the Good Food Magazine, and as a freelance stylist and journalist within the fashion field writing mainly for the Daily Mail.
Emma has hosted variety of award ceremonies and her recent credits have included the Cellnet Awards at the Savoy, the Good Food Awards and The Yell Internet awards at BAFTA.
Emma was chosen from a long list of high profile celebrities to front the 1995 Saatchi & Saatchi ‘Head & Shoulders’ television commercial for Proctor and Gamble and was voted ‘Best Dressed Woman of The Year’ in January ‘96.
Emma recently presented a new night time magazine programme called ‘Good Stuff’ (Carlton, Thursdays 11.10pm) and has just finished presenting her third series of Live ‘n’ Kicking with her co-host Andi Peters.
