Information about locale: (READ CAREFULLY) *** Monday, February 28, 1994 I've made a .ct file, also (and a working .cd file, too) Oops. I tried building a catalog from this file, and noticed that it was missing a few things, and some strings were not right. Don't use "\d" for a decimal notation. This is 'E's way of noting it, but it actually turns it into a %ld string. So use these. Next, don't use the \a strings. You can use the apostrophes ' string. There were 3 missing strings, that I've added. They dealt with APPICON, KICK, and ABOUTMORE. After I made these changes, I was able to create a working catalog. Sorry for any problems this may have cause. I just today learned how to actually make a catalog, and was unable to test the above beforehand. (Not bad, I suppose, for my first attempts.) *** Friday, April 8, 1994 Lots of changes. I *quickly* converted old catalogs into the new positions and names. But I did not change the strings!!! Translators should check EVERY line against my .cd/.ct file. Maybe even start from scratch? I did recompile the converted catalogs, and all looks fine. But... If you wish for your catalog to be included in the Aminet release, send me the files before April 20th. This gives you over a week. Remember to add your credits to the L_ABOUT string! Just make sure to keep the number of lines the same, and allow for 4 additional lines for registration info!!! Good luck. Chad Randall crandall@garnet.msen.com
