WHAT IS IT?
-----------

If you hadn't already guessed this is a (nother) three-
dimensional modelling program. The difference is that this one has an
editor that lets you work and model your scene in 3D (a bit like
PageRender3D) rather than using a tri-view (like Sculpt4D/Real3D),
although a tri-view is available in the program!. The major advantage
over a program like PageRender3D is that it makes a stab at Gouraud
shading in full colour!. Another big advantage is that unlike other
3D programs the file format for the scenes is a readable ASCII file,
so you can load it up into any text viewer and take the coordinates
and use them for your demo or whatever. The other advantage is that
its free!

INSTALLING MODEL4D ONTO FLOPPY/HARDDISK
---------------------------------------

Couldn't be simpler - simply drag the icon to where ever you
want it.
If you are making a floppy disk with Model4D on then you will
have to make sure that you have the diskfont.library,
mathieeedoubbas.library and mathieeedoubtrans.library in LIBS: and
CLIPS: assigned to somewhere writable (like RAM:clipboards). There is
also an optional Model4D font which can be copied to the Fonts
directory; if it is there it will be used otherwise it will use Topaz.

RELEASE HISTORY
---------------

25/7/92 v1.1 The first released version.
Major bugs when memory runs out - will more than
likely crash.(I will fix this soon!)
Some glitches in drawing routines (you'll just have to
work around them for now - again I will fix this for the next release)

ABOUT THE AUTHOR
----------------

You don't want to know about me so why are you even reading
this?

DEVELOPMENT ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS
----------------------------

        Model4D was developed on an A3000 with Kickstart 2.0 and a 105
meg harddisk. It was compiled using Lattice C V5.10 from SAS
Institute Inc.
Many thanks to Steve Panyiotou for his support and ideas, to
the testing team which consisted of:

                        Dipti Das
                        Richard Winter
                        Tammy Davies
                        Paul Hall
                        Steve Byatt
                        Adrian Chapman
                        Hugh Reid

to Jim Peacock for his work with 3D modelling on the Amiga, to
Lawrence Hodges for being such a good computer graphics lecturer and
finally to Nescafe for producing coffee with plenty of caffeine in it.
