Member of Research Staff at the Department of Computer
Science IV of the University of Erlangen-Nürnberg, Germany, doing
research on modelling and quantitative analysis using queueing networks.
Research Interests
Performance evaluation often involves the use of queueing network models. PEPSY-QNS has been
developed to create these models and analyze them in a comfortable and easy-to-use environment. Its
main application is the performance analysis of complexes like transport systems and operating
systems but it is also used for educational purposes and the validation of analysis methods.
These pages exemplary demonstrate the work with PEPSY-QNS and show what types of queueing
networks can be examined, what analysis methods are available and what performance measures are
calculated.
