You remember Tina Turner's great song called 'Steamy Windows'? Sure you do.
You remember The Rolling Stones' terrific 'Angie' song? Of course, don't you?
You use Angie - ANother Great Intuition Enhancer - the great commodity for
your Amiga? - Sure, you're up to date and you have a good taste!
Well, then you don't need SteamyWindows - Just drop it into BlackHole's black
hole.

For all other guys that don't like Angie, SteamyWindows is available now:
It is a very small yet very useful commodity that raises the priority of
the active window's task by one and restores its old priority when the
window becomes inactive, and nobody else modified the task's priority
meanwhile.

What's the major advantage of SteamyWindows in comparison with Angie?

Angie uses quite a sophisticated way of snooping Intuition structures since
it needs information like the active window's dimension and position that
may only be gathered in a consistent way from a task with a locked
IntuitionBase.  SteamyWindows doesn't need all these things- It is only
interested in changes of the IntuitionBase->ActiveWindow entry itself, and
so the snooping code is much more compact and is placed in a tiny VBlank
interrupt server.

If you are a poor 68000 user and/or you suffer from a permanent lack of
memory, and you only need the 'Raise active wintask's pri' feature of
Angie, SteamyWindows is the alternative for you.

Note that SteamyWindows is implemented in a way that illegal memory
accesses and similar ugly things that are due to SteamyWindows itself are
hardly ever possible (however don't forget Murphy's law)


In order to use SteamyWindows, just copy it, along with its window to your
SYS:WBStartup drawer. 

BTW: SteamyWindow doesn't understand any arguments.

It is impossible to use SteamyWindows in conjunction with Angie, due to
mutual confusion of each other's priority snooping devices.
