Galileo Educator's Resources

Are you a teacher who is looking for something to add to your science lesson plans? Do you want to help your students keep up on current events when Galileo's mission is in the news? Are you a parent seeking to interest your child in solar system exploration? Do you just want to read an explanation of the term "gravity assist" that doesn't assume you're a rocket scientist?

Look no further. As Galileo's Educational Outreach Office starts producing posters, curriculum units, slide sets, and background sheets, we'll put these resources on this page. If you're a parent, and your child's teacher doesn't have WWW access, consider downloading and printing out copies of any of the materials that you find here for use in your child's classroom, too.

Please note that these materials were not originally developed for the WWW. Therefore, the Galileo Arrival Day poster, for example, which actually is a two-sided poster with full-color artwork on the front side and eight black-and-white panels on the back, cannot be shown on the WWW in all its glory; we can show the back panels as separate .gif files. If an image fails to load, try increasing the amount of memory allocated to your browser.
