SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENTS - NOV. 1995 - Newsletter #4
Council Meetings
The President's Council on Sustainable Development will hold its next
meeting on November 1, 1995, in Washington, D.C. The Council has met
quarterly around the country over the last two and one-half years. The
1993 meetings were held in Washington, D.C. During 1994, the Council
met in Seattle in January, Chicago in July, and Washington, D.C. in
April and October. The Council met in Chattanooga in January 1995, in
San Francisco in April 1995, and in Washington, D.C. in June 1995.
Portions of the draftfinal report -- the national goals for sustainable
development, indicators of progress, and policy themes for achieving
sustainability -- were released for public comment this summer, and the
final report to President Clinton is planned for release in Ja nuary 1996.
