Visiting the Travelling Discovery Centre provides an enjoyable educational experience for children, whether in school or family groups. The Centre contains seven natural science activities to explore. Each activity involves active participation by the children, with help and guidance from specially trained explainers. The Travelling Discovery Centre is made possible by sponsorship from Marks and Spencer.

From late March 1996 we will be offering special guided tours for schools in our new 'living exhibition', the Wildlife Garden. Teachers can pre-book KS2 pupils onto the 45-minute tour, which focuses on the characteristics of different habitats and plants.
