JIFFY LUBE 300 Qualifying Results   Positions 1 - 25 are locked in.

South Florida gets it first dose of NASCAR thunder and it's delivered
by local favorite.

Joe Ruttman delivered of Lakeland, Florida won the inaugural pole for 
the Jiffy Lube 300 in a record time of 40.378 seconds for a speed of
134.628 mph. In doing so became the 23rd different pole winner in the
Busch series.

"The track conditions were good. It was an identical lap to what we
tested before. Florida is my home and it's great to see palm trees
and all these bright colors" and jubilant Nemechek said.

Nemechek discussed the importance of the pole. "This is important
for two reasons. First, BellSouth Mobility and for Burger King. This
is one of BellSouth Mobilities largest markets, and it's also the 
World Headquarters for Burger King."

Kyle Petty is entered. He is wearing a special soft brace to protect 
the bone he broke in his left hand at the base of his thumb during an
