    Hi all

    Just read on BBC Ceefax:

Grand Prix veteran Martin Brundle has been confirmed as the replacement for Eddie Ervine in the Jordan team's driver line-up for the 1996 season.

The 36 year old ..... will be renewing an association with team owner Eddie Jordan after driving for him in British Formula 3 12 years ago.

Jordan will be Brundle's 8th team in a GP career which covers 140 races. His best finish was second in Italy 3 years ago and at Monaco in 1994.

Irishman Irvine will drive for Ferrari next year after Jordan agreed to releast him from his contract.

[page 2] Martin Brundle looked forard to a "really bright future" after agreeing to join Jordan for the 1996 season.

"Eddie (Jordan) and I had a really successful season together back in 1983; in fact that helped put me into F1 in the first place," said Brundle, who is currently with Ligier.

"He was perhaps the first Jordan driver to go on and race in F1 and I have been trying to do a deal ith him on and off for about 5 years.

"Martin's experience, both in terms of chassis and engine design, is vast." said the team owner.

    Cheers
