In spite of the cancellation of the SCCA's Dallas TransAm weekend the
Barber/Dodge Pro Series will maintain a Texas presence. Replacing the
Dallas event as round 11 of the 12 race Barber/Dodge championship will
be an event at Texas World Speedway on September 10, inconjunction with
IMSA Exxon World Sports Car & Exxon GT races.
The Barber/Dodge Pro Series features identically-prepared single-seat
open-wheel formula cars powered by normally aspirated 3.5 liter Dodge
V6 engines. All cars are owned by the Skip Barber Organization and are
leased to drivers on a subscription basis. All Barber/Dodge Pro Series
races are broadcast on a tape-delay basis on ESPN.
