Rumours in the pit lane at the Hungarian Grand Prix this week-end
suggest a shake-up of the current Formula One Season Calendar to take
place in 1996.  The new calendar would start at the new Melbourne
circuit on March 3rd and the finale would take place at the
Sentul circuit in Malaysa.

The new calendar would comprise of 18 races of which 2 are likely to be
deleted in the final draft.  An interesting attachment to the usual
schedule is Zelteg in Austria where Gerhard Berger will get the chance
to race in his home grand prix for the first time since 1987.

A daunting long haul start of Melbourne, Aida, Brazil and Argentina may
have the smaller teams worried over the financial of trailing
a full formula one team across several continents in a short space of
time.  The scedule then moves into Europe for San Marino, Spain, and
Monte Carlo before jetting off to Canada.  The return to Europe involves 
the usual races of France, Britain and Germany.  The race at Hungry is 
still on after speculation that 1995 would be the last visit to the
Hungaroring for some time.  Austria will preeceed Spa while Italy and
Portugal will round off the European season.  The Suzuka track at Japan
will again feature as the penultamate race as Malaysa replaces the usual 
finale at Adelaide.

The proposed big finish at Las Vegas now seems to be definitely off
after a lot of media hype surrounding the race and several million
dollars of US investment.

In related news, the 1995 Italian Grand Prix at Monza is now to go ahead 
after multiple cancelations and reinstatemants over enviromental
pressure involving the cutting down of trees.  The much troubled race at 
Aida is also due to take place after worries that the earth-quake
earlier in the year had caused too much damage to the circuit for it to
be drivable by the end of the season.
