   PLYMOUTH, WI - Kevin Huntley powered past Frankie
Kerr on lap 25 and won the 40-lap Club All Star
Sprint/Interstate Racing Assn. sprint car shootout
Wednesday night at the Sheboygan County Fairpark. It was
Huntley's second $4,000 All Star win in a row in Dean
Lindsey's Hogue-Chevy powered J&J.
   Kerr, the defending Club All Star champion, started
on the front row of the 22 car field and blasted off to
a big lead. A caution flew on lap two when Dale Blaney,
Van Gurley Jr. and Todd Kane tangled in turn four.
   The next caution appeared on lap 23 when Blaney, who
won the Commercial Truck & Trailer dash, spun again in
the fourth turn of the 1/3 mile oval. Kerr lined up in
the lead with Kenny Jacobs second and Huntley third.
Huntley, who started 11th, wheeled past the Warren
Johnson Schnee of Jacobs for second on the restart and
then motored past Kerr's Stan Shoff J&J on the
backstretch of lap 25.
   Jacobs came home second with Kerr third. Danny Smith
started seventh in the Ken Bodkins Jenkins and ended up
fourth with second starting Terry McCarl's Wesmar
powered Maxim fifth. Outerwears Pre-filters B Main
winner Jerrod Hull, Don Goeden, Alan Winker, Joe Roe and
Al Schmidt completed the top ten finishers.
   Van Gurley Jr. set quick time over the 39 car field
with entries from seven states and heats fell to Scott
Nietzel, Mike Frost, Allen Winker and Dale Peterson. Bob
Roebel and Gib Wiser flipped in the fourth heat without
injury.
