Top Qualifying - Quotes
19 - Michael Bartels
"Of course I'm delighted. We had several problems on Friday, some other
small problems this morning. All the more I'm happy now to have achieved
pole position. Now I hope, that I can finish the two races of tomorrow
and collect as many points as possible for the championship."
1 - Klaus Ludwig
"This was the first time in the '95 DTM season, that I succeeded
in completing a Top Qualifying lap without a fault. And I'm really
content, although I would have been much more happy with pole position.
Nevertheless: There is still a lot of work to do, to exhaust the huge
potential of our Opel. But I got something else to say: A big thank you
to Mercedes, Norbert Haug and Hans Werner Aufrecht, who gave up their
weight advantage voluntary and produced this way new excitement for DTM
and ITC."
3 - J”rg van Ommen
"I'm content with my lap, although I was on the grass in the second
chicane. But I hadn't to lift the throttle and so I think this didn't
cost me one single tenth of a second."
7 - Alessandro Nannini
"The lap was alright - I was as fast as in the morning session. That's
something to be content with. Now I'm rather optimistic for tomorrow."
14 - Bernd Schneider
"I know, where I'm loosing the time, but at the moment I don't know how
to win it back. We didn't work into the wrong direction, I just got 56
kilos more in the car. I tell you, this is slowing you down and I'm not
too happy with this situation."
15 - Dario Franchitti
"I just made a fault which cost me several tenths of a second. But
that's racing. Tomorrow is another day, let's wait and see what happens
during the races."
26 - Giancarlo Fisichella
"The lap wasn't perfect, but alright. Now we got to work on the race
set-up, than we will see what the races will bring."
4 - Jan Magnussen
"The lap was quite nice although I made two small faults. But I think,
these faults didn't cost much time."
2 - Keke Rosberg
"Regarding that I hadn't the possibility to practice I'm quite happy
with my lap. I'm just a special talent without practice."
8 - Nicola Larini
"I had a soft brake pedal at nearly all brake points. I don't know,
if this was caused by the hydraulics or by the software, but I'm
very disappointed. Now we got to sort out this fault to give me the
possibility to repair what went wrong today."
9 - Manuel Reuter
"I'm totally disappointed. Okay, I made two small faults, but I'd never
thought, that my lap might have been so bad. Now we got to check the
telemetry to see where I lost the time. Maybe I did too many laps in the
qualifying session and the tyres were no more competitive because of
this."
6 - Kurt Thiim
"I didn't push hard enough in the first information lap, so my back
tyres didn't reach their working temperature. Nevertheless I see good
chances for a much better race result with our new back tyres."
11 - Christian Danner
"I had big balance problems. We are still suffering under a front axle
problem. And as long as this problem isn't solved, we won't be able to
make big progress."
20 - JJ Lehto
"I had one fault in my lap. But I'm quite happy with my car, as it's
balance finally seems to be okay. I tell you, it will become a hot race
tomorrow."
18 - Stefano Modena
"There is no progress at all. We can change what we want - no result! I
really haven't got a clue what we should do. You know, that I like to
develop race cars, but at the moment I' d really like to return to the
'94 car and let the other drivers develop the new one."
