First and second free practice sessions

1 - Klaus Ludwig
"I just went out for my first lap of session two, when my drive shaft
broke. But, as I had a good first session, I don't see problems for the
qualifying. So it shouldn't be a problem to achieve a top
15 placement."

2 - Keke Rosberg
The Finn was stopped twice (once in each session) by a too busy fire
extinguisher, which decided on putting out a not existing fire in Keke's
Calibra. Keke: "It was so hot in the car, may be the extinguisher's
sensor believed, it was burning."

29 - Giampiero Simoni
"It's absolutely the first time, that I'm driving with a Class 1 touring
car. And I'm really impressed by it's performance, although I had some
engine problems. But I need some more experience to be really fast with
this car. So, my aim for the weekend is to finish and be fast, but not
to risk everything to be as fast as possible."

11 - Christian Danner
"I'm not too happy at the moment. The engine hasn't got enough punch,
so we are going to change it for the qualifying session. The set-up
isn't perfect too, but we will leave it for the afternoon and work on
it tomorrow. Something else is making me rather optimistic: Although
Diepholz seems to be a Bridgestone track, Michelin has done a great job
and nearly caught up with Bridgestone."

7 - Alessandro Nannini
"We still have to decide, which tyres we will choose, but everything
else is okay and under control."

9 - Manuel Reuter
"The balance of the car is not as I'd like it to be. So we got to work
on the car before the qualifying session. And probably we will change
the engine, as it reacted rather sluggish while accelerating."

4 - Jan Magnussen
"It's great to be back racing only four weeks after my accident. And I
feel really okay in the car. There is only one difference in the moment:
I got to brake with my left foot, but I already had to do this, when
I was testing Formula 1 cars. So there is no problem for me in doing
this."
