   WOODSTOCK, GA - Club All Star points leader Dale Blaney broke out of a 
month long winless slump Saturday night at Dixie Speedway, capturing his 
tenth feature win of the season, worth $5,000. His last win was exactly 30 
days ago, at Pa's. Hickory Motor Speedway.

  Behind Blaney's Hughes Wheel and Axle J&J came Danny Smith, for his best
finish of the season in the Ken & Sherry Bodkins Jenkins, with Ricky Hood 
third in Joe Herrera's Avenger. J&J pilot Frankie Kerr was fourth and Maxim 
driver Keith Kauffman was fifth.

   With eight cars inverted on the start of the 30-lap feature, Ohio's Greg 
"the kid" Wilson sat on the pole with Smith alongside. Kenny Jacobs started 
third, with Hood fourth and fast timer Blaney eighth. Wilson took the lead 
at the start, with Jacobs second and Smith third. By lap six, it was Wilson 
still on top, with Jacobs second, Hood third and Blaney getting by Smith for
fourth. 

   With a dozen laps in the books, veteran experience finally previled over
yourth as Jacobs made a slick move to get by Wilson for the top spot, with 
Hood following Jacobs by for second. Smith got by Wilson a lap later, and 
by lap 15 it was Jacobs, Hood, Blaney, Smith and Wilson on the dry-slick red 
clay oval.

   On lap 27, Jacobs, who held a six car length lead, got too high off turn 
two trying to avoid a spinning backmarker, slapped the wall and flattened 
his right rear tire. Jacobs was through for the night, putting Smith in 
command on the restart. Smith had just passed Hood for second on the prior 
circuit, so the misfortune for Jacobs was Smith's gain. Blaney was now
third and Frankie Kerr fourth. 

   It was now a three lap dash to the checkered.  Blaney powered his way into
the lead after the restart, passing the two leaders in one fell swoop to 
take command and lead the final pair of laps.  Smith's Gaerte powerplant was 
good enough for second, with Hood third, Kerr fourth and Kauffman fifth.

   Completing the top ten were fifth starter Todd Kane in Junior Holbrook's
Schnee, Wilson in his own GL Doemelt, 11th starter Mike Lutz in his father's 
Blaneybuilt, Joey Nash aboard a J&J and Daniel Coggeshell's Viper. Coggeshell 
recovered from a lap four spin to work his way steadily back into the top ten.

   The Butlerbuilt heat went to Kane, the United Expresslines heat to Kerr and
the other heat to Jacobs with the Commercial Truck & Trailer Dash to Blaney.
