Korean Air Joins Nokia Tyrrell Yamaha

The Nokia Tyrrell Yamaha team is pleased to announce today the support of a 
major new international partner, Korean Air. The association between the 
team and Korean Air has come to fruition following the unfortunate demise of 
the Simtek Formula One team, who recently went into administrative 
receivership.

Recognizing the promotional opportunities and marketing benefits that 
Formula One can provide, Korean Air were the first ever Korean company to 
enter Formula One.

Last year, Korean Air celebrated its 25th anniversary since its 
privatization in 1969. In a relatively short space of time, Korean Air has 
achieved world class status in the airline industry. Korean Air ranked third 
largest amongst the world's international airlines in terms of cargo 
operation and 14th in the passenger transportation according to IATA 
(International Air Transport Association). The airline now operates 100 of 
the world's most advanced aircraft, including 37 Boeing 747's and is flying 
to 71 cities in 28 countries worldwide including 8 cities in Europe.
