  HOLLAND, N.Y. - Dave Dion of Hudson, N.H,. made a bold move under Glenn
Sullivan of Westbury, NY as they traveled down the backstretch on Lap 86
of the Busch 150 for the NASCAR Busch North Series, Grand National
Division Saturday night at the .375 mile Holland (N.Y.) International
Speedway to take home nearly $10,000 in winnings.

  A lackluster qualifying effort coupled with an overflow field of race
cars saw Dion starting 14th on the grid, but the veteran driver
immediately began a charge up though the field which was capped by the
pass on Sullivan.  Dion stretched an enormous lead over the entire field,
and could afford to visibly slow down for the last couple of laps to avoid
any possible entanglements with lapped cars.

  Kelly Moore of Scarborough, Me. broke free from the rest of the field
during the last third of the race, but couldn't reel Dion in as the laps
wound down, and he had to settle for second spot at the checkered flag.

  Andy Santerre of Cherryfield, ME. drove his best effort of his new role
as a car owner and driver to grab the third slot at the checkered,
followed by Sullivan and Keith Lamell of Essex Junction, Vt.

  Dennis Doyle, a rookie NASCAR Busch North Series competitor from
Plymouth, Conn. caught everybody's eye with a qualifying speed of 93.329
mph (14.465 seconds) to capture the Busch Pole Award, his first-ever, then
he finished sixth to capture the Penrose Challenge "Rookie of the Race"
Award, with bonus money for these two feats alone amounting to $1,000.

  Dion's victory netted him $9,800 for the 150 lap race.
