New Sponsorship deal for Simtek

                  Simtek Signs Timely Sponsor
  Glashutter Original celebrates its 150th anniversary with F1
                          sponsorship


Simtek Grand Prix has attracted the support of one of Europe's
foremost quality watch manufacturers - Glashutter Original of
Germany.

Not only is 1995 Glashutter Original's 150th anniversary, it is
also the first year of a dynamic new management, whose target is
to publicise the company's respected heritage of traditional
craftsmanship with a new upbeat advertising campaign.

Said Glashutter Original's Heinz W. Pfeifer, "Via Simtek we will
bring the name of our company to the notice of many new people
around the world. Importantly, this includes Japan, one of our
major export markets; coincidentally the home of Simtek driver
Hideki Noda."

Simtek's Nick Wirth commented, "While watches and Grand Prix cars
may appear to have little in common, they are both high-tech
items in their own right; a fact of particular significance to
Glashutter Original. We are, of course delighted to add the name
of such a highly respected company to our growing list of
sponsors, which already includes all last year's major backers,
plus an additional international corporation whose name we will
shortly reveal."

The first Simtek S951 chassis is due for arrival at Simtek's
technical centre in the next few days, after which the first new
car will quickly take shape. Wirth's evolutionary design will be
powered by Ford's customer engine - the Cosworth ED; benefit
from a semi-automatic transmission developed by Simtek Grand
Prix's sister company, Simtek Research, and utilise components
from the Benetton electro-hydraulic gearchange system.
