Brief commentary:

The final leg of the rally finished on Sunday with the route being from
Tambacounda to Dakar, the capital of Senegal. Whilst many commentators
called this 'Paris-Dakar' the RAID actually commenced in Granada with
feeds from various European cities, including Paris.

Pierre Lartigue once again drove conservatively finishing 4th on this leg
which was won by Bruno Saby. Stephane Peterhansel finished in style,
winning the final leg as well.
