Official statement from McLaren International: Woking (UK), October 28, 1994 --

McLaren International and Mercedes-Benz today announced at a joint press
conference in Stuttgart (Germany) that the two companies have signed a
far-reaching and historic agreement.

McLaren and Mercedes will compete together in the 1995 FIA Formula One
World Championship and will continue this partnership for a number of
years to come. The new team will be known as Marlboro McLaren Mercedes.
The fuel and lubricants will be supplied by the Mobil Oil Corporation.

This agreement with Mercedes-Benz, one of the most prestigious
manufacturers in the history of motoring and indeed motor racing, is
part of a long-term strategy by the TAG McLaren Group to expand its
engineering and electronic-based activity beyond Formula One, where
McLaren International, the racing team, has an extraordinary record of
achievement, winning seven Drivers' Championships and six Constructors'
titles in ten years.

The full extent of the plans to broaden the scope of the Group will
be made clearer in the weeks and months to come by Ron Dennis and
Mansour Ojjeh, respectively Managing Director and Chairman of the TAG
McLaren Group. What can be anticipated is that the entire Group will be
relocating to new corporate headquarters designed specifically for the
Group's needs.

"An excellent working environment is fundamental to a company like
McLaren," said Mr. Dennis. "Our new purpose-built site in the south of
England will act as the springboard for the Group's expansion into a
multi-faceted and very advanced range of automotive related activities."

The expansion by McLaren will not affect the equity of the company,
which is held by Mr. Dennis and Mr. Ojjeh. Contrary to what has been
speculated in the international media, the finances of the Group are
extremely buoyant.

"In 1994 our financial performance will be the best we have ever
achieved since 1984 when Ron and I joined forces," said Mr. Ojjeh. "We
are entering into an agreement with Mercedes-Benz from a position of
great strength. Ron and I are keen racers, but, first and foremost, we
are businessmen. We are proud of what we have achieved at McLaren and we
look forward to the future with delight."

The future for McLaren will not include Peugeot, this year's engine
suppliers and a company McLaren have parted with on excellent terms. We
wish to thank them for the significant results we achieved together this
season.

McLaren International has also signed a long-term partnership with the
Mobil Oil Corporation, commencing January 1st 1995, to act as technical
and commercial sponsor of Marlboro McLaren Mercedes and to be the
exclusive supplier of fuel and lubricants to the team. Mobil has a
long record of success in Formula One with 45 Grand Prix wins to their
credit.
