Two interesting bits of F1 news came out of France Today:

1. Renault announced Benetton will use their engines for three years,
beginning in 1995.  They will be the same Renault engines Williams
will use.  Renault said they signed Benetton because they want to be
with the "World Championship" team.

2. The FIA announced there will be no rescheduled meeting in the
Benetton "fuel-filter" hearing.  The meeting of the World Council will
take place as planned, October 19, two races before the season ends.
Formula One teams had asked that the hearing take place earlier because
teams believe Benetton will be thrown out of the World Championship,
which they currently are leading in points.  Their request was denied.

Reminder: Michael Schumacher's appeal of his two-race suspension will
be heard Tuesday, August 30, two days after the Grand Prix of Belgium.
If Schumacher's appeal is denied, he will miss the the Grands Prix of
Italy and Portugal.
