F1: Stewards' decision on Hakkinen

The following is the report of the stewards of the German Grand Prix:
31 July 1994
Having received a report by the Clerk of the Course and having viewed
the video of the accidents at the first corner of the German Grand
Prix and having heard the evidence of Competitor 7 Marlboro McLaren
Peugeot, Mika Hakkinen, Ron Dennis and Dave Ryan and the evidence of
David Coulthard, Mark Blundell, Eddie Irvine, Rubens Barrichello and
Heinz-Harald Frentzen, the Stewards find that Competitor Nr 7 marlboro
mcLaren Peugeot Mika Hakkinen has caused an avoidable collision and
forced drivers off the track (article 161 of the 1994 FIA Formula One
World championship Sporting Regulations) and the Stewards order that a
penalty of suspension for the next FIA Formula One World Championship
event be inflicted on driver Mika Hakkinen pursuant to article 152 of
the FIA Sporting Code.
The said Mika Hakkinen is reminded of his right to appeal under article
183 of the said Code
This decision is laid down at 17.15 hrs this 31st day of July 1994
