AUSTRALIAN TOURING CAR CHAMPIONSHIP, ROUND 1, AMAROO, 27/02/94.

The 1994 ATCC championship looked to have all the right ingredients
for a great season.  A revised aerodynamic package for the Falcons
was in order by the end of last season, and now implemented it was
hoped the gap between Commodores and Falcons would be minimised.

Former 500cc World Motorcyling Champion Wayne Gardner's new team
made its debut, running two Holden Commodore VP's in Coca Cola
colours for team owner Wayne and number 2 driver Neil Crompton.

However, no-one was quite prepared for the domination Mark Skaife
was about to exercise, reaping maximum points from his weekend's
work for winning everything available.  1993 champion Glenn Seton
has never had any luck with the dash draw, and as you can see, he
had the misfortune to draw last from second.  However Skaife had
no such problems and after easily disposing of his rivals in the
dash proceeded to do the same in both heats.  Once underway the
Winfield car looked to have an extra turn of speed on his rivals.
