Two Test Races for the New Porsche 911 GT1 at Brands Hatch and Spa
For the first time since the stunnung debut of the new 911 GT1 at the
24 Hours of Le Mans, Porsche bring their 600hp works car to the eighth
round of the Endurance GT (BPR) series at Brands Hatch on the 8th Sept.
Two weeks later, the Belgian/German driver duo, Thierry Boutsen and
Hans-Joachim Stuck, will line up to start at Spa Francorchamps in Belgium.
GT veteran Hans-Joachim Stuck is well aware that these two races are for
testing, but at the same time is convinced that he and Thierry Boutsen
can resist the strong opposition from McLaren F1 GTR, Ferrari F40 and
Lotus Esprit Turbo. "With this supercar we will certainly be up with the
best. We have already proven in Le Mans that this new car is not only the
legendary Porsche endurance qualities, but also impressively fast."
