Skoal Outlaw Series Schedules Event at Perris

    LAKE PERRIS, CA (August 26) - Promoter Chris Agajanian has
reached an agreement with the World of Outlaws to give up one of
his dates so the series can run at the new Perris Auto Speedway.
    Agajanian was originally scheduled to promote a Skoal Outlaw
Series event at Pomona Raceway November 1-2. Under the new
agreement, the fire-breathing, mud-slinging sprint car racing
teams will run single-program events at Perris on Wednesday,
October 30th, and at Pomona on Saturday, November 2nd. WoO


              'Wild Child' May Return at Calistoga

    CALISTOGA, CA (August 26) - Look out Calistoga Speedway, Jac
Haudenschild is on his way.
    That's big news considering "The Wild Child" hasn't raced
since suffering a back injury in an August 6th crash at Lebanon
Valley Speedway.
    "It's not for sure he's going to race this weekend, but it's
a strong possibility," Jack Elden, owner of the #22 Pennzoil
Maxim, said Monday. "He's on his way out there right now."
    Elden had Pennsylvania racer Kevin Gobrecht drive the #22 at
the Amoco Knoxville Nationals and in the Wild Wild Northwest Tour
opener at Magic City Speedway. Gobrecht crashed in the Fourth
Quaker State Heat Race at Magic City and the #22 hasn't raced 
since.
    "I'm in racing because of Jac Haudenschild," Elden said. "I
like Kevin very much, and I think he's a very deserving person.
Maybe, sometime in the future, I'll help him." WoO
