Polesitter Marc Goossens lead the race from the start to the chequered
flag. Jorg Muller, second in qualifying, had a bad start and lost two
places. After 3 laps he took third position from Christophe Tinseau and
when Riccardo Zonta spun off in lap 26, Muller was in 2nd again and kept
it to the finish, 5 seconds ahead of Tinseau.
Swede Kenny Brack was unlucky in qualifyng. Mechanical problems slowed
him in first session and in 2nd it was raining. Brack started the race
out of 12th position. After 6 laps he made it up to 5th place, and then
he was missing. Countryman Carl Rosenblad suddenly stopped in a chicane,
when Brack was going to lap him and crashed into Rosenblad's Alpha-Lola.
Dramatic, but without serious injuries, ended the accident of the third
Swede Peter Olsson (Edenbridge-Lola). Philippe Belloc (F, DAMS-Lola)
rammed Olsson off the track. The Edenbridge-Lola got airborne and went-
head over several times.
