SPRINTS: PA POSSE NEWS 96-07-14
Some of this is old news and some is not.
KARS Sprints
Bob Beidleman is still in the Lehigh Valley Hospital after receiving serious
burns from a fire in the shop. Bob has already undergone skin graft operations
and has a long road of recovery ahead of him. Cards of cheer and encouragement

410 Sprints
Don Kreitz Jr.
Don is still recovering from his injuries he received at the Grove when his car
got airborne and did a spin and landed on its wheels. Don has a compression
fracture of the 3rd vertebrae in his upper back, his tailbone and and chestwall
were also bruised. Donnie is wearing an overhead neck brace and is supposed to
be remaining still. The injuries are similar to those that movie star
Christopher Reeves suffered. Cards of cheer and encouragement can reach Donnie

410 Ride Changes
All these changes are now three weeks old or so but just in case you missed it
here they are:
Todd Gracey is now in the Sal Scarpitta, Lucas Metal #59.
Scott Ausherman is now in the Cooper #25 ride Gracey vacated.
Greg Leiby was hired to drive the Dan Dietrich #8.
BOSS
If all goes well Tuesday, July 16, 1996 will be a big day in New Jersey.
Bridgeport Speedway is holding the first in their three race "Bridgeport Open
Sprint Series" on the 5/8 mile clay track. There will be over a $20,000 purse
each night. $100 tow money will be given to non qualifiers and there is also
URC and ESS bonus money up for grabs. The event pays $250 just to take the
green.
The purse will be:
1.) $5,000 2.) $2,500 3.) $1,800 4.) $1,000
5.) $570 10.) $250
The event starts at 7PM with time trials. Admission is $15 for adults. The
other two dates for the BOSS Shows are Monday, August 26th and Sunday, October
20th.
