Pit Notes for Sunday, June 30

LYSOL 200 RACE QUOTES

RANDY PORTER (#48 UniFirst Uniforms Ford) -- It looks like a combination
of things. It looks like we blew a seal in the transmission. We lost
third gear just a lap before that so I don't know if something got up in
there and blew the seal or what. We can't fix it with the amount of laps
left. We would have to take the whole transmission out and that would
take an hour. I think the race would be over by then.

KEVIN LEPAGE (#88 Farmer's Choice Chevrolet) -- I got tapped from behind
going into turn one by a lapped car. It spun us around and we got into
the fence. The bumper got caught on the guardrail and we couldn't get
out. It tore the car up pretty good. We were running real good and
biding our time. It's just one of those deals. We're going to get it
back out there. We're in the points race.

JEREMY MAYFIELD (#98 Northstar Motorsports Ford) -- We were just trying
to hold our own, running in the top 10, but evidently one of those guys
thought it was the last lap. It just busted the left front tire. We came
to here win the race and get some experience.

LARRY PEARSON ( #92 Stanley Tools Chevrolet) -- The pulley cam off the
oil pump. Then the belt broke. That's about it. We were running really
good. We were working our way back into the top ten. I was very
comfortable. It was the best we've ever run here. I was running with the
Winston Cup drivers, and I figured I was doing pretty good if I could
stay with them.  We'll be back.

HERMIE SADLER (#1 DeWalt Industrial Tools Chevrolet) -- We must have
broke the transmission. I was coming off the right hand turn (outer
loop) and had no third gear.  It1s kind of indicative of how the season
has been going. We1ll try to fix it - put another transmission in and
get back out there.

JEFF FULLER (#47 Sunoco Chevrolet) -- We got loose in the inner loop and
hit the tire wall. I don't think it had anything to do with my crash
yesterday. We didn't have a winning car, but it was competitive enough
that we were in the hunt for the top 20. We had a shift lock up, and we
lost a lap in the pits trying to get that fixed. It was just a tough
weekend here.

BUCKSHOT JONES (#00 Aquafresh Ford) -- It was the transmission. We lost
third gear.  We1re going to try to get back out.  We1ll run around for a
few slow laps.

JOE NEMECHEK (#87 BellSouth Mobility Chevrolet) -- Something broke. We
had a problem with a valve spring earlier, but when I went back out it
was just missing and I didn1t want to blow it up so we1re done.

RANDY LAJOIE (#74 FINA Chevrolet) -- We broke a rear housing. We hit the
wall yesterday. Bad weekend.  We1ll be back next week.

CURTIS MARKHAM (#63 Lysol Pontiac) -- I1m not exactly sure what
happened, but I hadn1t had any brakes for a while, and then something
happened to the motor and the oil line broke. I spun in my own oil, and
Ricky (Craven) spun in my oil too, so I helped him out. Markham helped
workers push  Craven1s car out)
