Eight nights of Sprint Car Racing is on tap as the 1996 Pennsylvania Sprint
Speed Week Series is about to begin. The question is can anyone beat the past
champion Fast Freddie Rahmer?
Sunday, June 30, 1996
Hagerstown Speedway, 30 lap Sprint feature with $3,500 to win plus pure stocks.
Tuesday, July 2, 1996
Silver Springs Speedway, 30 lap Sprint feature with $4,000 to win.
Wednesday, July 3, 1996
Grandview Speedway, 30 lap Sprint feature with $4,500 to win plus EWSA wingless
sprints (URC Sanctioned)
Thursday, July 4, 1996
Penn National Speedway, 30 lap Sprint feature with $4,000 to win plus KARS
Limited Sprints.
Friday, July 5, 1996
Williams Grove Speedway, 30 lap Mitch Smith Memorial Sprint feature with
$10,000 to win plus fireworks.
Saturday, July 6, 1996
Lincoln Speedway, 30 lap Sprint feature with $4,000 to win plus Semi-Lates,
Thundercars and Fireworks.
Sunday, July 7, 1996
Susquehanna Speedway, 30 lap Bob Hilbert Sportswear Summer Spectacular III for
Sprints with $4,000 to win plus NAPA Super Sportsman.
Monday, July 8, 1996
Selinsgrove Speedway, 30 lap Sprint feature with #3,500 to win plus Thundercars
and Daredevils.
All show will have time trials, heats, "B" Main, and 30 lap feature.
Greg Hodnett has confirmed that he will compete in the PA Speedweek series. I
understand that Billy Pauch will run all but the Thursday, July 4, 1996, show
at Penn National Speedway. Billy plans to run the televised 75 lap DIRT event
at Rolling Wheels Raceway in Elbridge, NY where he recently beat the World of
Outlaws in the #1 Zemco sprinter.
