Senneker Wins 80th ASA race at Berlin!!!!!

Before a huge hometown crowd at Berlin Raceway under picture perfect weather 
for racing, Bob captured his series leading 80th career victory. During 
practice the car had a push and for qualifying Bob posted the 5th quickest 
time. After qualifying, Bob changed rearends in his Lane Automotive/JR 
Automation/Mr. Gasket Ford Thunderbird, looking for the right set-up for the 
200 lap feature, guess what --it worked!!! This was the 28th ASA race at the 
half mile oval in Marne. At the green flag, Bob maintained his position, by 
lap 29th he was 4th. For 3 laps from 44-47 he and Beebe run side by side for 
third with Bob on the low side trying to make the pass work, but he couldn't 
and backed out. The third caution waves at lap 53, and Bob radios the crew 
he is "loose and needs to tighten it up when we pit". As the green flag 
waves at lap 58, Bob charges to 3rd place at lap 61 on the high side, and in 
the "Bluebird" in one fell swoop powers by Sensiba and Eddy on the high 
groove much to the delight of the 10,000 Senneker faithful, how were on 
their feet cheering him on! Bob stayed out front until the 4th caution waved 
at lap 80, when he decided to pit for fresh right sides. The Senneker 
Motorsports crew made an awesome stop to get Bob back out first, 3 cars 
remained on the track electing not to pit and that left Bob running fourth 
on the track. When the green waved at lap 88, Bob moved to 3rd at lap 89 and 
at lap 93, when the leader Lampman spun, that put Bob in the lead where he 
would stay until the checkers flew. Throughout the last 100 laps Bob would 
stretch his lead to many car lengths over the second place car of Mike 
Miller. Miller would attempt to reel Bob in but could never do it.  This was 
Senneker's first win at Berlin Since August 1989. "The car ran perfect, it 
was awesome", a smiling Senneker said after the race. "Yeah, there is always 
pressure here, cause I've got so many laps on this racetrack I'm supposed to 
know what I'm doing here; we've finally got it right. I love this Grand 
rapids race track! If were gonna do it anywhere, this is the place to do 
it." What was the 80th win like compared to his first ASA win? "They get 
sweeter as we go along, the next one will be even sweeter and so will the 
one after that!" Senneker jumped to 6th in the points standings. In 
attendance for his first ASA race was the owner of JR Automation Mr. J.C. 
Huizenga, plus many other associates of JR.The ASA cars will next be at the 
high banks of I-70 Speedway in Kansas City, MO., the race will be televised 
live on TNN at 9pm (EDT).
