"Starvin' Marvin/Speedway ASA 200"
Finished: 23 - Engine		Started: 22.3322 (110.586 mph)

A huge crowd turned out for the ASA race at IRP, Saturday evening. In 
practice Bob was 10th fastest with times of 22.400 & 22.419. For the 2nd 
straight year, the ASA tech line was not "user friendly" to Senneker as he 
was unable to qualify in the first round. His fast lap of 110.586 mph was 
7th fastest overall, but he had to start 12th. ASA rules state that if your 
not in line for your 1st round qualifying spot, you must then go in the 2nd 
round. Even if you post the fastest lap, you can start no better than 11th. 
There was a big wreck in the first turn on the first lap, which involved 
many cars behind Bob, but everybody escaped ok. By lap 27, Bob was 10th, 
when the 3rd caution flew at lap 55, he came in for rear tires and gas and 
came out running 11th. After the 4th caution at lap 68, Bob was running 6th. 
The car had a push, when the 6th caution came out at lap 116, Bob came in 
for right side tires. A great stop was nullified when a lug nut got jammed 
in the air gun on the right front, but Bob still got out in 11th place. At 
lap 134, Bob was up to 7th, by lap 140 Bob was in 6th and at lap 142 Bob was 
5th as the 9th caution flew. When the green flag waved at lap 147, Bob 
slowed after missing a shift, the engine was not running at 100%. "I think 
we broke something internal in the Ford Motor. Whether its a valve or 
rocker, i don't know until I pull it out at the shop". Bob fell from 5th to 
9th in the ASA points.

Johnsonville, a replacement has not been found. YET. The marketing firm for 
Senneker, The RAN Group is still agressively looking for sponsors.
