Qualifying for tomorrow's race has been cancelled by rain.

Seven cars had qualified. Parker Johnstone, the last to qualify, was
fastest with a 172+ followed by Michael Andretti. Next in line after
Johnstone was Zanardi. As he finished his last warm up lap, he lost
the tail end of the car in turn 4. The car scraped the wall with the
tail and Zanardi drove it onto pit road. Just as the safety crew
finished the approximate 30 min. clean up it began to sprinkle. After
another half an hour it began to rain steadily. All cars were
withdrawn from pit road and returned to the paddock area. As of 4:00
CDT it is still raining.
