Dan Dietrich Update

Scott Gobrecht, The G Man's brother, sent along a note telling me that on
Saturday, April 13, a collection was held for Dan Dietrich at Lincoln.  Both
drivers, crew members and fan contributed to the fund which according to the
Area Auto Racing News collected $2,500.

Williams Grove also held a collection on April 19.  Considering the large
crowd on hand for the nights program the collection should have been a success.

Kudos to the Craig Eshenaur Team

Last week at the Grove the #5 of Eshenaur won their heat race and then
experienced  a reported drive line failure while running second in the feature.
 However, their luck was not as bad as the #92 of Gobrecht who damaged the
front end of his car during the accident prone feature.  The Eshenaur team
loaned the Gobrecht team the necessary equipment to repair the structural
damage to their car.

So how did they both do on Saturday, April 12?  The Eshenaur team ran
Saturday night at Sellingrove in last years car and placed second in their heat
and then went on to win the feature.  The Gobrecht team ran Saturday at Lincoln
and won their heat race and then came in second in a neck to neck race to the
finish during the feature.  

Judi Bates

Judi Bates has had a rough go off it since coming to Central PA.  She has
been involved in numerous accidents at the Grove in the last few weeks.  Last
week at Sellinsgrove she managed to finish 12th in the feature after a near
mishap when the car got away from her.  However, Friday night she made it
through the heat and the feature without problems.
