Interlagos

Interlagos Track

The Autodromo Jose Carlos Pace was once a 4.9 mile circuit. It is named after Carlos Pace who scored his only GP win at this circuit in 1975.

A reduced configuration regained the Brazilian GP in 1990 with the Senna "S" replacing the first corner. In 1994 when Ayrton Senna spun off the track while in second place the crowd went home.

The circuit is known for its bumpy surface which has launched many drivers into the gravel traps.
