The Intel Software Expo provides a gallery of software titles for you to explore. For ease of reference, we've segmented the software titles into the following categories:

Click on a title of interest and go to a product overview page where the software is highlighted through product facts, software screen shots, video clips and shareware demos.

Software Product Overview

For each software title, there is a product overview that contains a basic description of the product as well as:

Screen Still Shots

To give you a good look into the software; click on the image of the still shot to get an exploded view of the picture. These, 640x480 .jpg, images are extracted from the actual software application to give you a better feel for it.

Software Preview Slide Shows

A slide show is a combination of screen shots put together into an Indeo(R) video or .AVI file to simulate actually using the application. These slide shows are approximately 20-30 seconds long.

To enhance your multimedia experience, use CTRL + 2 to double the size of the viewing window. To shrink the window back to its initial size use CTRL + 1.

The quality of the video will be dependent on the type of video card in the system.

Note: The slide shows have been compressed to reduce your download time. If you are using a 14.4 kbps modem, the download time will be displayed to the right of the file. We are constantly evaluating new methods to reduce your download time.

To give you ways to "try before you buy", some software developers distribute downloadable sample versions of their software that allow you to run or play part of the application in an interactive mode. If you are using a 14.4 kbps modem, the download time will be displayed to the right of the file.

Videos

Windows* 3.1, or Windows* 3.11 Users

All the videos in this area are saved in a digital format called Audio Visual Interleave, AVI for short. They are compressed, which means they are made smaller using a technology developed by Intel called Indeo® Video.

To play these videos you can use the program found in your Accessories Group called Media Player. Versions of Media Player and the Indeo(R) video drivers may vary, so you may need to update your software.

If you see a window pop up that says:

There are no MCI device drivers installed on your system. Use the Drivers option in Control Panel to install MCI device drivers.
You will need to update your software. Here's how:

1. First Download the Indeo Video R3.2 with Video For Windows Runtime 1.1e. See the downloading help section below. This should take approximately 13 minutes with a 14.4kbps modem.
2. Next, you will need to put the file in a unique directory.
3. Then install the driver by running SETUP.EXE.

If you see a window pop up that says:

You have started to download a file of type/ x-msvideo.

You will need to configure Netscape for this particular mime type. Here's how:

1. choose the box: "pick app"
2. go to c:/windows
3. find the file: msplayer.exe
4. click OK

This file will install into your helper apps section of Netscape. Once installed, all videos should download and play.

Windows 95*

Windows 95* is distributed with the appropriate drivers for Indeo Video. If you are experiencing difficultly loading a video, you can call Microsoft* for support at (206)635-7000 between 6AM and 6PM PST Monday through Friday.

Downloading - How do I get that file?

Different browsers handle downloads in different ways. Generally a dialog box will appear that asks you where you would like to save the file. Simply specify a unique directory for the file and wait for the file to arrive. For more information on how to download, refer to the documentation for your browser.

Downloading - I downloaded the program. Now what?

• Once you have received a program, you need to install it before running it. To install the file, just run the executable or .EXE file usually called setup.exe or install.exe.
• If the file has a .ZIP extension you will need to unzip it before you can run setup.exe. Download the WinZip* utility from the WinZip* web site.

Email - What is my Internet email address?

America On-Line*

Your Internet email address is your screen name condensed without spaces followed by @aol.com

CompuServe*

Your Internet email address is your user name followed by @compuserve.com The CompuServe commas must be replaced by periods.

Pictures - Why didn't this picture come up?

Sometimes the browser will not get a picture. This happens when the Internet is slow, or when data gets lost on its way to you. When this happens you may see one of the following icons instead:

- This icon means that the image doesn't exist.

- This icon means that the image was corrupted in transit. This can usually be fixed by using the Reload function on your browser.
