Support for University Research

Intel Corporation, through the work of its Research Council, champions university research to drive innovation and the advancement of technology in the Computing Industry. The Research Council, comprised of a number of committees specializing in various research areas, was formed to support higher education and technological research that compliments and augments Intel's internal research programs.

University research funded by Intel has a longer term focus than internal R&D and covers areas which are important for the future computing business outside of Intel's current product line. All funded research has an Intel sponsor who champions the idea within Intel and acts as a liaison to encourage technology transfer from the university to industry. Research is supported across the various technologies in which Intel is involved.
