Intel Architecture Performance Tools and Libraries consist of a set of highly optimized
software development tools and programming libraries, developed by Intel, for application
development on Intel Architecture processors. Intel has developed these
tools to enable application developers to obtain the highest possible
performance for programs running on Intel processor-based PCs.
Tools and Libraries
- The Intel Performance Library Suite
includes the Intel Signal Processing Library,
which provides a set of signal processing functions for the Intel Architecture
similar to those available for most Digital Signal Processors (DSPs), and the
Intel Recognition Primitives Library, which
provides developers of speech- and character-recognition software with a set
of 32-bit recognition primitives optimized for the Intel Architecture.
- VTune,
Intel’s Visual Tuning Environment, is designed to provide a system-wide
view of your Windows* 95 or Windows NT* system.
With color-coded, graphical, point-and-click interface, context-sensitive
online documentation, and sophisticated database technology, VTune brings
ease-of-use to the task of performance analysis.
- 3DR is a scalable,
real-time 3D graphics library which has been optimized for the
Pentium® processor. With the introduction of Version 2.2,
3DR offers a complete geometry-level solution for real-time 3D graphics
for games, multimedia, CAD, virtual reality, and visual simulation under
Microsoft Windows.
