Intel Showcases Pentium® Processor-Based High-Performance Applications at the Embedded Systems Conference, September 17-19 1996

From department store point of sale terminals to an industrial controller running a state-of-the-art automated sawmill, the power of the Pentium® processor is enabling an entirely new generation of high-performance applications. Intel and its customers will present on-site demos of a variety of new embedded PC designs at the Embedded Systems Conference Sept. 17-19 at the San Jose Convention Center, San Jose, CA.

Many developers have already discovered the quick time-to-market advantages of incorporating Intel Pentium processors, chipsets, controllers, flash memory solutions and development tools into their high-performance embedded designs. For years, Intel architecture has been the foundation for a wide spectrum of embedded applications, ranging from intelligent factory automation products to automated teller machines. Intel's latest solutions not only enable higher performance products, they also allow OEMs to compress product development cycles by basing designs on proven PC technologies.
