With dual overhead camshafts 16 valves and electronic fuel injection (EFI),Camry's standard inline 4-cylinder engine extract maximum power out of its advanced design: 125 hp @ 5,400 rmp.

and 145 lb.-ft. of torque @ 4,400 rmp.

The Camry appears almost seamless with its closely fitted body panels. These tight tolerances also create less aerodynamic turbulence, adding to Camry's efficiency and quiet interior.

Camry's effective sound-dampening material is made of an asphalt composite and steel. The "sandwich" designed sheets are placed between the steel body and chassis panels to help minimize vibration and noise.

Camry's clean and smooth appearance is the result of an uncompromising commitment to aerodynamics. Even glass surfaces are flush with the Camry body to smooth lines and enhance its sleek, windcutting efficiency.
