I got Puff #11 a while ago, but didn't have time to do this until now. Next
month, there will be a special on "How to make doujinshi?", sneak preview of
1995 manga calendars and an interview with Sato Atsu?? from Genji Super 5.
(Did they split up? How come only 5 left? Which 2 members left the group?)
1994 saw the ending of a lot of long-running popular manga such as "Yuu Yuu
Hakusho", "Banana Fish", "Patlabor", "Please Save my Earth", "Alexandrite",
"Master Keaton", "It's contagious", "Nausicca", etc. Puff is going to have a
special talking about these manga in January issue (on shoujo manga) and
February issue (on shounen manga).

3. Kouga Yun interview: "Earthian" will end Feb 1995 (with a happy ending),
and "Genji" will end mid-1995. Apart from these 2, Kouga Yun is currently
working on "Gestalt" and "Yosei Jiken" as well. Her old work "Kodomo tachi wa
yoru no junin" will be re-published by Akita Shoten next year.
4. So far, there are 2 audio drama CD on "Earthian" and 1 audio drama CD on
"Gestalt". There is also an "Earthian Complete Vocal Collection" CD on sale.

5. Clamp! A drama CD will be released for Clamp's "Shin Shunka-den". It is a
manga published in a magazine some time ago, but never been published in a
tankoubon. It is a story about hyper-active Korean girl named "Chu-Nyan"
(the same kanji as "Shunka"). Clamp said they like Korean costumes.
6. CD & Book and an image album will be released for "RIOT", on Oct 7 and
Oct 21 respectively. The manga, originally running in Comic Genki, will move
to Comic NewType from December.
7. 6 volumes of drama CD on "New Vampire Miyu" has been released, and all
album covers are illustrated by Kakinouchi Narumi. They are 2800 yen each.
8. This issue's special is on Itsuki Natsumi (author of "OZ")'s "Hanasakeru
Seishounen". There are some coverage on her other works "Juuousei" and "Yakumo
Tatsu" as well.
9. An interview with the author of "Papa to odorou". And yes, I have never
heard of this manga! ^_^;
10. Kusunoki Kei has a new manga in Ribon #9 called "Dokkan Love", a comedy
about fighting for lovers....
11. Who has read Nagada Naoto's "Edogawa Ranpo -- Yaneura no sanposha"? I am
very interested about manga based on Edogawa Ranpo's stories.
12. There is a novel about the Royal Hong Kong Police. It is written by a
Japanese though. Hmmm....
13. Katsura Masakazu has a new manga called "Zetman" running in Shounen Jump
Autumn Special (Oct 12). This Jump Special also has a special on DNA TV anime,
and "Bastard" manga by Hagiwara.
14. Kusunoki Kei again! She will have a new manga running in Ribon called
"Migiko Nippon ichi!!", starting from #11.
15. Akisato Wakuni's "Sora tobu Penguin" (Flying Penguin) ended in Bessatsu
Shoujo Comic on Oct 13.
16. Tagami Yoshihisa's "Metal Hunters D" ended in Comic Tom on Oct 14. And
Katsu Aki has a new manga "Angel Hard" running in Young Animal from #20.
17. Comic Gamest has a poster featuring Kurumada Masami, author of "Saint
Seiya".
18. Kouga Yun's "Yousei Jiken" comes back in Afternoon #12 on Oct 25.
19. There will be a manga drawn by Ikegami Ryouichi called "Kyouko" in Big
Comic Spirit #21. There will also be a manga by Sakura Momoko too. Can anyone
tell me what it is?
20. On Oct 26, Shounen Sunday will publish a one-off manga by Fujita Kazuhiro
(Ushio to Tora author).
21. New manga magazines coming out include:
"Kimi to Boku", published by Sony Magazines, 24th every month, B5
size, 380 yen. Shoujo manga with information on fashion, music, etc.
The first issue will feature manga-ka such as Toujou Kazumi, Sakura
Momoko, etc.
"Shounen Ace", published by Kadogawa Shoten, 26th every month, B5
size, 390 yen. Shounen manga magazine with "media mix" like anime and
game. Main manga-ka include Kurumada Masami (B TX), Mikimoto Haruhiko
(Macross 7), Yoshida Sensha, Katsu Aki, etc.
"Shounen Ou", published by Koubunsha, 9th of odd months, 390 yen,
featuring Manabe Jouji, Matsumoto Leiji, etc.
"Comic NewType", published by Kadogawa Shoten, first issue on Dec, B5
size, 600 yen. "Riot", "Elementors", etc, from Comic Genki will be
running in Comic Newtype.

23. "Yagami-kun's family matter" is REALLY making into a TV drama series!
Starting on Oct 11, Wed 8pm. They added an extra character of Mayuki's
brother, which is played by Yamamoto Junichi (a Genji 5 member?). Nomi is
played by an actress named Natsuki Mari. From the look of the photograph, they
looked quite appropriate for the characters.
24. "Tokyo University Story" is also made into TV drama. SMAP member Inagaki
Gorou will play Murakami Naoki. There is a photo in Puff with Egawa Tatsuya on
it. ^_^;
25. Ranma 1/2 OAV series has finished, but they are making an extra special
now! It will be a 2 volume story and the story is ..... Shinnosuke story! The
first volume will be on sale on Dec 16, and the second one on Feb 17. This is
probably the best Ranma story I have read for a while, so don't miss this!
