Tenchi Muyo! in Love is first movie for Tenchi Muyo to be
released. it will air in Japan in Spring of 96. The story is very
much like Back to the Future, with Tenchi and the gang going back 26
years in time. An unknown catastrophy that caused dissapearance of
Galaxy Police HQ is spreading, and Washuu sheilds Tenchi and the gang
from it. They use her time machine to go back in past to resolve
this mystery. Tenchi meets Achika, a girl in the past, and falls in
love with her.
Tenkuu no EscarflouneM begins in Spring of 1996. This is
expected to be the next big project by Sunrise. The story seems to
resemble s little of RayEarth, as well as characteristics of Tomino
robot shows. The character design is Yuki Nobuteru (Gunnm, Lodoss
anime, Angel Cop, Weathering Continent, etc.)
Vgie's Angel is a new OVA series planned from NEC Avenue.
story of war between 5 female cyborgs and the space emigrants.
They say it's a hard-hitting at times, and also comical with full
of bishoujo. 6 part OVA, starting January 20.
Miyazawa Kenji is one of the most respected modern writer in Japan.
1996 is the 100th anniversay since his birth. They are making
theatrical animation of three of his works. The anime is going to be
called "Kenji's Trunk", and is a omnibus format of three stories.
it's planned for Summer 96. Literature fans, take notes.
Soreyuke! Space Battleship Yamamoto Youko is a parody OVA
on Space Battleship Yamato (ogbviously). Maybe we can expect a
Tylor-like anime. ^_^
Magical Girl Pretty Sami 2 is under production. lord save

Key the Metal Idol series 2 is starting with episode 8.

My Dear Marie, the popular manga series running in Young Jump,
is going to be animated as OVA series. the first episode will be
released in March 6.

Shin Kaitei Gunkan OVAs LDs will be released 12/21/95. Based
a old Japanese sci-fi novel about submarines, the mecha design (and
over all feel) is similar to Nadia. Character design is done by
Yasuhiko Yoshikazu, the manga artist for Venus Wars. 45min, 7,800yen.
Idol Defence Force Humming Bird 95: to Place of dreams will be
released on 12/21/95 on LD. 30min, 6,000yen. Humming Bird fans, take notice.

that takes place a year after the end of the series. The story will take

there are two new Sailor Moon Supers movie this January. the two
will be shown together. One is called Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon Supers -
9 Sailor Senshi together! Miracle at Black Dream Hole , and it will feature
all 9 Sailor Senshi. the other is an spinoff called Amichan's first love:
Sailor Moon Supers sidestory , and (of course) the main character is Ami
(Mercury) Mizuno.
Codename is Sailor V is a manga predecessor to Sailor Moon, and is
still running in "RunRun". This will be animated into four-part OVA series,
starting next spring.

Ok, lemme start with OVA news....
the Popular TV series, Yamato Takeru is going to be continued
in the OVAs. the OVAs will take place 3 years after the TV series.
The series will be a conclusion to many unanswered secrets the TV series
hold. the OVA will be released on 10/25/95.
Radio Drama Soreike! Uchuu Senkan Yamamoto Youko, airing on
Hayashibara Megumi's Tokyo Boogie Night, is going to be animated into
an OVA series. from the title, (Go go! Space Cruiser Yamamoto Youko)
the title is a spoof on Space Cruiser Yamoto. the series is based on
a popular novel of the same name. The OVA series will start January, 96.
JyuuSenki Elgaim LD Box is released on December 17. The first
part, Mark1, will contain 1 - 26 episodes.
Diary of Anne Frank is animated for the first time, by Japanese
animators. The story is about a young jewish girl in the nazi period, who
was captured, and died at the age of 15. It is playing in Japan right now.
popular manga, Shadow Skill is animated, and the OVA will be
coming out in 10/25/95.
Ledgend of Crystania OVA are planned for 96 release, continuing the
story from the theatrical release.
Blue Eyed Ginrei is another off-spring of Giant Robo, featuring
Ginrei. This time, it's supposedly a serious story. (but still not in the
continuity of Giant Robo).
Aozora Shoujo Tai, known in US as 801TTS, is continuing with their
second series. the first episode should already have come out on 9/21/95.
Gun Smith Cats, the popular manga series from Sonoda Kenichi is
animated into an OVA series, and the first episode will be released on 11/1/95.
Yousei Hime Rein (Fairy Princess Rain) is a new OVA series in
production. the story tell of a small fairy Rain, who comes to human world
to search a secret stone only found in this world. release is planned for
October.
There is a new Arslan senki OVA, in two parts. the first part is
released 8/21/95. This is the fifth part in the saga. The two OVA will cover
the fifth Arslan novel.
Taiho Shichauzo (You're Under Arrest) will conclude with OVA 4,
released in this fall.
Now for TVseries...
Confucious is animated for NHK, and NHK satellite 2. It is a
co-produciton of Japanese, Korean, and Taiwanese animators, featuring
the biography of Confucious. Starts in late September.
Bakuretsu Hunter, the sexy over the top radio series by Akahori
Satoru, featuring Hayashibara Megumi, is animated for the TV. however,
they may have toned down the sexual references from the radio show.
Starts October 3rd.
Gokinjo Monogatari (Neighborhood story) is a new TV series,
based on the shoujo manga serialized in Ribbon. Character designer
from Marmalade Boy will do the character design for the anime. The show
will take Marmalade Boy's spot, since MB ended.
Mama wa poyopoyozarous ga osuki (Mom likes PoyoPoyosaurous)
is a tale of joy and suffering of raising two weird energetic kids ^_^
The TV series started on September 2nd, and it is similar to Crayon
Shinchan... but from the parent's point of view. The name Poyopoyosaurous
is to say that kids = monsters. ^_^
Tenkuu no Escaflorne is a giant robot series. in a fantasy world
(sort of like RayEarth). it is based on manga running in Shounen Ace.
director is Kawamori Seiji, of Macorss, and the character designer is
Yuki Nobuteru, known for his char. des. in Lodoss Wars, Gunnm, etc.
Kaitou Saint Tail, based on shoujo manga in Nakayoshi, is a TV series
that starts airing in October, right after timeslot of Guruguru.
Lassie, the dog famous to all americans, is animated by Nippon
animation in their Sekai Meisaku (World Masterpiece), and will start airing
in 96.
Rurouni Kenshin is a manga running in Shounen Jump, and it will
be animated for TV next year. (this is one of my favorite shoune manga,
that's running currently. ^_^)

Everyone knows that Giant Robo 6 is released now in Japan, right?
in episode 6, all of the Magnificient 10 appears. Also, it is revealed
that there is a "9 Great Lords" of ICPO which is considered as equal to
the Magnificient ten. Commander Chuujou and Taisou are the only ones
that have appeared that we know for sure to be one of the 9. There are
two more characters, Kage and Shinkou Taiho to be two of
the nine also. rest of the 5 are not revealed at this point.
volume117 issue of B-Club had a special on all of the Magnificient
Ten and the Big Fire. Here is the profile on them.
Big Fire: The leader of the BF. He appears to be a young man. Three
Guardians, shape-shifting panther Achilles, monster bird
Garuda, and giant robot Neptune guards him. Big Fire and the
three guardians are from an old manga/anime, Babel the Second.
Babel the Second was a powerful psychic who has three servents
(the same as the three guardians in GR) to serve him.
Shokatsuryou Koumei: The advisor to Big Fire. Very confident about his
intelligence. He is a genious schemer, and he plans to use
Genya, knowing his desire for revenge. Commands the Magnificient
Ten.
Sanie the Magician: Her power is magic. She creates existence out of
nothingness, and modefies the existence. She holds one of
the Magnificient Ten, Alberto, as her father. She is constantly
in psychic contact with her father, and is possible to comminucate
with her father from any distance. However, Alberto is lost, and
she feels worried about her father's safety. Her power has not
shown its full potential yet, but she is seen as cadidate to
fill in late Servantis's spot as one of the Ten.
The Magnificient Ten
Lord Chaos Hanzui: The leader of the Ten. His power is drawn from
his Senryoku skill, the same as that of Issei doujin of
ICPO. He and Issei were both students of the the same
Senjyutsu master, and Hanzui's power greatly out powers
that of Issei. Although he was hope to be a great Sennin
at the mount Nisen, for some mysterias reason, he left the
mount and joined BF.
Kawarazaki of Violent move: The eldest of the Ten, and well respected.
Former leader of the Ten, but he gave away the seat to Hanzui
when Koumei joined BF. He has doubts about Koumei's place
in BF. He uses powerful Telekinesis as his power. Although
there are many Telekinesis user in BF, none of them are any
where close to Kawarazaki's power.
Zangetsu of the midday: Zangetsu means "moon left in the...", so
this means "Moon left in the midday". In any situation,
he acts as a gentleman, and shows respect to other members
of the Ten as he knows his place as a newcomer. However,
none of the Ten have seen his face, as he never takes his
mask off before anyone. His power is mostly shrowded in
mystery. One of his ability is to use anything from grass,
rock, or even water as a "needle", and break his opponent
in pieces.
Illusionous Cervantes: His main ability was to create illusions by
directly affecting opponent's mind. He also has powerful
energy blasts as his weapon. He and Alberto were friends
and partners. However, in a fight with Taisou, Servantis
died, and Alberto lost one of his eyes. Since then, Alberto
swore to defeat Taisou.
Mask the Red: As a genious master ninjya, he uses all forms of
Ninjyutsu. Kage, one of the 9 Great Lords of ICPO is his
rival. Kage, like Mask the Red, is a genious in ninjyutsu.
Mask the Red believes his murder and destruction is a form
of art.
Jyuujouji, of the Bell of Life: Jyuujouji controls life power. He can
breath in life to any object, and take away life from any living
creature. The Bell of Life he holds seems to take an important
part in his ability. because of his ablity, his value for life
is diffrent from other motals. It is said, the Jyuujouji never
truely dies. His past and history are shrowded in mystery.
Doki, the rightful heritage : It is said, that no one has ever heard his
voice. He is master of all forms of ancient fighting, including
asian martial arts. He uses a 7-part-staff, a staff which
can be separated into 7 parts, connected with chains. Most of
the time, he himself does not fight, but his own army "Chifuuren"
fights for him. Each member of this group is armed with the
7-part-staff. Nothing is known about this group, as they exist
mysteriously.
Yuuki of the dawn: He has the power to control creatures. He can take
control of animals and plants has his servents. The most
frightening weapon of his is the army of insects that lives
within his body. This army takes few seconds to eat up a
human being after they cover the body. His power comes from
him being born a telepath. Because of his ability to read
people's mind, he grew up unable to trust anyone. His encounter
with Kawarazaki brought him to Magnificient Ten.
Fitzcarraldo the Wonderful: He has the power to shread objects around him
with a snap of his finger. This is done by spaces of vaccum
moving at the speed of sound, created by his snap. He only
desires power, and he does not hesitate to kill anyone. He
seems to feel joy in killing.
Alberto, the Impactator: He controls ultra vibrational waves. These
waves pack impact enough to destroy most objects, even hard
metals. He feels unsatisfied as Taisou died sacrificing
himself to save his friends. Also, he is starting to feel
doubtful as to Big Fire's actions, as BF is created to dominate
the world, and not destroy it. Some of the rest of the Ten
are starting to feel the same doubt.
Legend of Crystania is a threatrical release in Japan, shown
together with Slayers the movie. Crystania takes place in the world
of Forseria, the same world where Lodoss takes place at. It is set
300 years after the Lodoss Wars, but Ashuram and Pirotes appears in
this show. Ashuram's body is taken over by the god, Balbas, and
Pirotes fights (along with the hero, Readon) to free her lover's soul.
She uses the name "Shiel" in this story.
Theatrical release of Macross Plus is announced, but I am not
sure whether this is just the compilation of the OVAs or if this is
totally another movie.
Sonoda Kin-ichi's Gun Smith Cats is finally going to be animated.
It is 3-part OVA series, and scheduled to be out 11/1/95.
The popular manga, Shadow Skill is going to be animated by
ZeroG Room. It's planned for a one-shot 45min OVA due out in October.
Rakyshou! (Easy Win!) Hyper Doll is a 2-part OVA series about
high-school girls turning superheros. Heard before? nah.
Irresponsible Captain Tylor is coming back in an 8-part OVA
series. the first OVA "Law of 16year old" is slated for 9/1, the
second OVA "Danger on the Samurai" is 10/1, third OVA "The other side
of high-tech" is 12/1, and the fourth OVA "White Christmas" is 12/25.
The parody OVA of Tenchi Muyo, Pretty Sami is slated for 8/25
release.
Comedy fantasy Fairy Prncess Ren is being produced by KSS.
It's planned for 2 OVAs in Fall.
The popular RPG Fire Emblem is going to be animated. The
series is 2 part OVA, and the first OVA is slated for this December.
the second OVA is slated for March, 96. Moriyama Yuuji is the character
designer. (Nuku Nuku, 801TTS, Maison Ikkoku, Compiler, etc.)
Galaxy Fraulein Yuna, a popular adventure game for PC-Engine,
is finally animated into 2-part OVA series. (you know it was going
to, sooner or later..) The first OVA is slated for 10/1 release, and
the second 12/1 on LD.
Slapstic modern fantasy, Team Magicians is 6-part OVA about
highschool magic club fighting for the fate of Earth against invaders
with magic..... and slapstic humor. The OVA series is slated for
Spring 96 release.
Egawa (the genious H manga artist) Tatsuya's Golden Boy OVA
series volume one is slated for 10/27 release. The OVA has excellent
voice actors such as Tsuru Hiromi, Inoue Kikuko, Kana Mika, Iwao Junko
Shiratori Yuri, and many others.
Popular game (and OVA) Graduation has a parody story!
Seira Victory has Graduation characters slug it out in giant
robots. The OVA is now on sale.
Jyuu Senshi Galkieba (Beast Warrior Galkieba) is a TV series
That started in 4/4/95. It's a kids-with-mecha format, but the allies
of the main characters are beast-men. The main character "powers them
up" be a beast warrior with mecha-like armor. The show seems very
standard action anime, with well drawn cel frames. I personally am
tired of the Saint Saiya like armors though... it's nice, but too
over abundant.
Fushigi Yuugi is a shoujo anime that started on 4/6/95.
The anime is based on the shoujo manga title of the same name.
It is serialized in Shoujo Comic. The story is about Miaka, a
Jr. High 3rd grader (9th grade) girl is transported into a
mysterious world through an old book found in library. The
art is very good.
Ike! Ina-chuu Takkyuubu (Go! InaJr High Ping Pong Club) is
a slap stick comedy of ping pong club filled with weirdos. It is
based on the manga of the same name that runs in Young Magazine.
Tobe! Isami (Fly! Isami) is an kid's anime with the three
main characters, all kids, fighting against a secret organization.
The main character Isami is a very boyish girl, who heads a kid's
dictective office.
Azuki-chan is a slice of life comedy of young girl Azuki-chan,
who is in fifth grade. The story chronicles the world around her, seen
from child's point of view. It is similar to Chibi Maruko-chan. The
show started in 4/4/95, on NHK satelite 2
Yanbou Ninbou Tonbou is a kid's anime, based on the classic
novel of the same name. There was a radio show of this made in the
mid-50s in Japan. Story of three brothers of monkey in forest.
Jyuuni Senshi Bakuretsu Etoranger is kid's show, based on the
chinese myth of 12 zodiac gods. However, in this incarnation, the 12
gods are 12 cute animal guardians who protect the world of "stories".
Kyouryuu Bouken Jura Tripper (Dino adventure Jruasic Tripper)
Is a tale of 15 kids (boys and girls) of various age lost in a world
of filled with Dinosaurs. Sounds familiar? It's a sort of a cross
between two popular novels, a classic and a modern recent bestsellers.

Oh, no! Bono Bono is animated! it's a Far-side like comic
strip, that finally got aniamted for TV audience. I wonder if it'll
keep the weird sense of humor from the strips ^_^
Evangelion, with Hideaki Anno (director of Aim for the Top! Gunbuster
and Nadia) directing and Yoshiyuki Sadamoto (character designer of
Nadia and Wings of Honneamise) doing the character design, is a Robot
anime. Anno says he wouldn't have taken up this project if it was
supported by toy companies such as Bandai. He feels toy companies
shouldn't influence the mecha design and story for marketing purpose.
The character design looks very nice, but when made into cels, it looks
similar to Metal Fighter Miku. The Robot "Evangelion" is semi-organic
look mecha. Gainax is busy with the production of first two episodes
right now.
Ghost in the Shell movie is, as mentioned before, slated for
November 95, but there is also OVA planned for Spring 1996!. The
details are unknown at this moment.
Mimi o Sumaseba (If you listen carefully..) is a flim slated to
air in July 1995 from studio Ghibli. Hayao Miyazaki is the producer,
scripter, and conte artist. Yoshifumi Kondou is the director.
The movie is a bittersweet love story of one teenage girl. The movie
seems to be a cross of Omoide Poroporo and I can hear the Sea. The
movie is based on a shoujo manga of the same title by Aoi Hiiragi,
and it ran in Ribbon. This is definately worth waiting for.
In this movie, Miyazaki finally gave in and bought Macs for the work
station in Ghibli ^^; Miyazaki says "I didn't like computers till now,
but in today's animation computers are a requirement. Also, they rid
of producing waste such as cels, and good for envoriment."
Shin Kidou Senki Gundam W is the new Gundam series that replaces
G Gundam. Like G Gundam, this does not take place in the same universe
as the traditional Gundam. Traditional Gundam universe is called U.C.
(Universe Century), G Gundam universe is called F.C. (Future Century),
and Gundam W takes place in A.C. (After Colony) universe. There are
5 Gundams piloted by the five main characters, all bishounen characters.
The mecha design for Shen Long Gundam (piloted by Wufei Chang), Gundam
Wing (piloted by Heero Yuy), and Gundam Heavy Arms (piloted by Trowa
Barton) looks rediculus. However, Gundam Sandrock (piloted by Quatre
Raberba) and Gundam Deathsize (piloted by Duo Maxwell) looks very cool.

Heero Yuy: the main character. One of agents sent in to Earth
by "Operation Meteor" to fight against the secret
organization "OZ". He is very capable in physical
fightings. Controled the computer to enter Saint Michel
Academy as a student. high figting instincts.

Duo Maxwell: Agent sent in for "Operation Meteor". All five of
these boys are. Very laid back, and very open.
nationality: America age: 15 Gundam: Gundam Deathsize
Trowa Barton: his past are shrouded in mystery. It's very likely
that his name is also fake. It's also a mystery as
to where he came from. On earth, he is disguised as
a member of a circus. cool and quiet, but his dispise
for war is evident. loves music, and plays flute.
nationality: ??? age: 15? Gundam: Gundam Heavy Arms
Quatre Rabarba: Heritant of rich Arabian family. To save his family
and 29 sisters (with diffrent mothers) from the war,
he entered Operation Meteor without his family's
consent. Gentle and kind. Artistic, and likes
violin and paintings. Owns a company of 48 Mobil Suits.

Wufei Chang: Decendent of ancient chinese warrior tribe, and has a
title of Warrior. Although he is agent of the Operation,
he likes to act on his own. He is proud of his bloodline
and his title. Trusts his instinct, and likes to fight
barefisted than in a Gundam.

The villain, Zex Markis looks like a Char clone. For voice actors,

Slayers TV series' first episode aired in 4/7. The TV series
is based on the original novel. There is a Slayers movie slated
for August 5 1995 release. This one is based on the manga, Slayers SP.
That means.. although we won't see Naga in the TV series, we'll get
to see her sexy figure in the movie. *^_^* The voice for the main character,
Lina Inverse is done by none other than Megumi Hayashibara!
Tenchi Muyo! TV series is a completely diffrent story from the
OVA series. The first 5 episodes introduces the characters. The cels
look very good..it looks just like the OVAs.
Wedding Peach is a magical girls show, and it's very much in the
tradition of Sailor Moon. Very cute,with revealing legs. It is a TV
series, and started out on 4/5.
Street Fighter II TV series started in 4/10. The character design
looks very much like the movie. This takes place before the Street Fighter
II continuity, and the characters are still very young. Ryu and Ken are
both 17 years old, and doesn't have the special moves yet. Chun-Li is 15,
and her father is still alive. She isn't in interpol yet, of course. This
means that Cammy is still 10 years old or so. You will probably get to see
her past stories. Ryu and Ken, without the sepcial moves, are still not
very powerful. They challenge Guile, who is already in his full potential,
and gets pummeled. The story focuses mostly on Ken and Ryu's friendship
and rivary. When all this is happening, Vega (M. Bison in US) is planning
for power....
Hummingbird '95 Kaze no Uta is slated for realase. for OVA 3,
VHS 6/1, LD 7/1. For OVA 4, VHS 8/1, LD 9/1. The story focuses on
Satsuki's friendship (and her rescue of them) with the Fevergirls, who
lost to her in the last episode.
Princess Minarva OVA is coming out VHS 5/1, LD 6/1. The characters
are in a slightly H costumes, and the story seems standard fantasy.
Mahoutsukai tai (Magician squad) OVAs are coming out. The story is
comdey SF, and 6 episodes are planned. This is about 5 highschoolers who
is in Magic Club, and studying magic as a club activity. None of them

series such as Yuncarse come here, and he is one of the most talented
effect cordinator of various anime such as Sailor Moon, Kingyo
Chuuihou, etc, etc. He is responsible for she transformation scenes
and Spcial movies scenes for Sailor Moon. The memorable ones are Neptune
and Uranus for me. Although I wasn't interested in this new OVAs
Mahoutsukai tai, when I saw his name, I was instantly interested.
Pioneer LDC's Elhazard OVAs are slated for 5/26 1995 release.
it is 7 volumes in all, and original characters are made by Takeshi
Okazaki, the manga artist of Elementalors and Lilical
Karen-chan. The voice actors are Tomo Sakurai (Mileenu in
Macross 7), Shimazu Saeko (Yuri in Dirty Pair), Miho Yoshida (Satomi
in Hiatari Ryoukou!), Ryuutarou Okiayu (Yuu in Marmalade Boy), etc.
Hyper Doll, a manga serialized in Shounen Captain, is being
made into OVA series, and released by Pioneer LDC. 2 episodes in all,
slated for August release.
Artmic is releasing Bishoujo Yuugekitai Battle Skipper. There
is CM anime for this TOMY's toy of the same name, but this is the full
OVA version that they are producing.
H manga artist Tatsuya Egawa's manga, Golden Boy is going
to become 6 episode OVA series. He is noted as "Genious H manga artist
Egawa Tatsuya" ^_^;
Miyukichan in Wonderland from CLAMP is being animated....but
I already said this before ^^; The news is the staff. The animation
studio working on this, is the same staff at Mad House who worked on
X^2 animation. With their level of animation, and Mariko
Kouda as Miyukichan, this show will appeal to me, even if it doesn't
have any story ^_^;.
Key: the Metal Idol volume 4 is released on 4/5 on VHS. Here,
we finnally get to see Key go....well, I can't tell you. It'll be a
spoiler ^^; more mysteries added in to make things more complicated ^^;
The first episode of 3X3 Eyes second series OVAs is released
on 7/25/95. There are four episodes planned, 45 minute each. This
will cover the manga volumes 3 - 5, the best part of 3X3 Eyes! ^_^
The first of Fam and Iirie OVAs out of four is being released
on 6/25/95. It is 30minutes each.
Makeruna! Makendou, based on the Super Famicon game of the
same name, is being released as OVAs. The main chara, Kenno Mai's
voice acting is done by Kotono Mitsuishi. The story is about a
highschool bishoujo demon hunter (gee, where did I hear that before?).
The story is done in comedy action style.
Finally, the new chapter for THE Hakkenden is released. The
chapter 7 of this anime based on the mideval novel, is releaed on
3/25 by Pioneer LDC. This chapter is the climax last chapter for
the second season.
Evangelion, the new TV series by Gainax, is starting in fall of 95.

The SF thatrical anime Darkside Blues is going to have a VHS release
in March 1.
SM Girls Saiber Marionett OVAs are finally coming out! 3 volumes in all.
In episode 6 of the incredible Giant Robo series, ALL of Magnificient
Ten show up to finish off GR and Experts once and for all! The release
date for this one is Summer of '95. As you know, Giant Robo series contains
characters from various Yokoyama manga. In 6th, you see three lackeys of
Babel the second, as well as Sally as Sannie, BF agent. Also, Akakage as
Mask the Red, one of Magnificient Ten.
Princess Minarva, popular novel/manga/game is being animated into a OVA
series.
Tenchi Muyo TV series looks just like the OVAs. It starts in April.
Elementalors relase date is pushed back to April 1st.
Pioneer LDC's Armitage the Third LD1 comes out in Febuary 25th.
Update as of 2/10/95
There is a new Gundam planned fot TV. This time, it seems to take place
in a diffrent continuity from G Gundam or Traditional Gundam universe.
the title is Shin KidouSenki Gundam W . The mech designer is
the same with G Gundam, Katoki Hajime. This show seems a little similar
to G Gundam in that it features many Gundam with each its own Gundam Pilots.
The pilots are teenagers. If you are a fan of Gundam's Universal Century
continuity (Traditional Gundam Continuity), you probably have a heart
attack about now. ^^;;
There is another Anime in Gundam continuity planned for OVAs. The title
is unknown. It takes place in Gundam's traditional continuity.
Bannou Bunka Nekomusume (Cat Girl Nuku Nuku) 3rd series is
planned! Yes, you heard it right, Nuku Nuku again!
Sailor Moon SS is the title for trhe new Sailor Moon TV
series.

Hola, this is where I, Hiro^2, babbles about new anime infos.
Let's start with Key: The Metal Idol, which I *might* translate
and have them subbed, when my friend gets the LD. If you can
speak japanese fluently, you may want to purchase the LDs. Why?
the price for the first LD, which contains 3 OVA episodes,
is priced at 6000 yen! Video release totals to the same amount,
with the first VHS tape (episode 1) priced at only 1,000 yen!
Key is dark story about an emotionless android girl who wants to
become human. Her grandfather tells Key, that in order to become human
she must make over 30,000 friends. After telling her this mysterious
message, he dies. Key: The Metal Idol have a dark story, unlike any
other idol shows.
Koukaku Kidoutai- Ghost in the Shell movie is currently in
production. This is based on Shirow Masamune's (Appleseed,
Dominion, Black Magic) manga of same name. The director is
Mamoru Oshii, the director of Patlabor II the movie. With this
combination, you can expect the show to be very mania-oriented.
40,000,000 yen in production, full with special effects and Computer
Graphics. Slated for November, 1995 theatrical release.
Clamp's Miyukichan in Wonderland is going to be an OVA series.
Clamp's Nanase Ookawa does the scripts, Tetsurou Aoki (RGVeda)
does the character designs. Mariko Kouda (Miki in Marmalade
Boy) does the voice of Miyuki-chan!
Clamp's Magical Knight RayEarth is ending in episode 20. There
are talks about continuing it though.
3x3 Eyes second series OVA is slated for spring of 95. 3 OVAs.
Btw, did you know Macross 7 opening had 1,500 frames in 90 seconds?
average TV anime have 3,000 frames per episode! Macross 7
is, one of the best opening ever, IMHO.
Kaitei Gunkan is OVA series, based on novel of the same name.
character design is from Yoshikazu Yasuhiko (Venus Wars, Arion,
Crusher Joe, Gundam). Staff responsible for Giant Robo is working
on it.
Ninku, serialized in Weekly Shounen Jump, is going to be a TV
anime.
The adult comedy manga, Otenki One-san is animated into a OVA.
Kishin Douji Zenki, a manga published in Weekly Shounen Jump, is
now a TV anime starting in January.
Chibi Maruko-chan is back on TV screen!
Another "World Masterpiece Theatre" anime series, Romio's Blue Sky
is starting on TV in January.
Super Famicom game, Makeruna! Makendou "Don't Lose! Magical Kendou"
is animated into OVA in Febuary.
Also a popular game, Megami Tengoku "Goddess Paradise" is being
animated into OVA.
Hobby Japan's Monthly RPG Magazine serializes a manga called Fam
& Iirie, and it's being animated into 4-part OVA series. The
original artist for the manga, Kunihiko Tanaka, is also the character
designer of Key: The Metal Idol.
Shin Megami Tensei OVA is slated for 95 spring. 2 part OVA
based on the popular game. The pics looks quite beautiful.
Tetsuwan Ginrei is a pun on Tetsuwan Atom featuring the heroine
of Giant Robo, Ginrei. The first OVA, Hadashi no Ginrei was
a pun on Hadashi no Gen. This second Ginrei OVA is released on
Febuary 21, 95.
Studio Ghibli is planning a long-length movie slated for
July release.
Tenchi Muyo TV series is being worked on by AIC. Also, they
are planning an Magical Girl Pretty Sami OVA.
Slayers and Legend of Crystania are being made into
Theatrical anime! It'll be shown together.
Kadokawa is also working on Arslan War Chronicles V and VI.
Animate Film is planning a OVA with Kyouko Ishida (RayEarth character
desinger) doing the character designs ^_^ It'll be a magical girl
show.
Clamp in Wonderland, featuring all of Clamp's characters, is on
LD and VIdeo. This was first shown in the event, "Clamp in
Wondersland". It has characters from X, Tokyo Babylon, RayEarth,
Miyukichan, 20mensou ni onegai, etc, etc. A must for all Clamp
fans.
