BEFORE YOU READ ANYTHING ELSE...

  I keep getting letters of users who complain that "...  Clock
does not work...".  Clock DOES work but it needs the arp.library
when run with KickStart 1.3.

  Double-click the InstallArp icon to install the arp.library in
your LIBS directory.

Clock has been thoroughly tested and is the result of a constant
process of changes and updates.  The program has proven to be
stable in everyday use.  The author is not responsible for any
loss of data, damages to software or hardware that may result
directly or indirectly from the use of this program.

as long as you don't ask any more money for it than a nominal fee
for copying.  If you want to distribute this program you should

Requirements
============

This program needs the arp.library to run.  Make sure it is in
the LIBS drawer of your boot-disk.  Clock will not run without it
and will exit quietly.


1. Introduction
===============

    I've seen 'm all (at least I think I have...):  the mouse
accelarators, the clocks etc...  They either were overkill
(MachII or MachIII), where written in C or didn't have all the
features I wanted (I know, I'm picky).


2. Usage
========

   Clock can be run in two ways. You can start Clock from the CLI
like this:

        1> run >NIL: Clock <options>

The options have to be preceded by a minus sign and can not be
combined as one string:

s|S     Turn the SunMouse feature on or off (default is on)
b<n>    Set the time before the screen blanks (in seconds)
        (default is 3 minutes). Specify -b0 to turn this feature
        off.
a<n>    Set the mouse acceleration factor
t<n>    Set the mouse acceleration threshold
x<n>    Set the clock x position (default the clock is positioned
        right for Workbench 1.3. Use -x408 for Workbench 2.0.)
y<n>    Set the clock y position (by default the is positioned
        in the screen's menubar).
c|C     Turn the clock and memory display on or off (default is
        on).
m|M     Turn the screen shuffle feature on or off. This option
        allows you to shuffle through the screen using
        left-Amiga-m (default is on).
e<cmd>  This command takes everything that follows the -e as the
        command to be executed when left-Amiga-Esc is pressed.
        By default this is the NewCLI command.  I usually use
        -eNewWsh.
        NOTE: if specified this option has to be the last one
              specified

If you type 'Clock ?' you get the following help message:

                b<n>    Set screen blank time (in seconds)

                m|M     Turn screen shuffle on|off
                e<cmd>  Set pop-up command string

3. How to quit
==============

    Clock's display window has a closewindow gadget. If you click
this ONLY the window gets closed. All other features including
the PopCLI command stay active. This allows you to remove to
clock window so that you can close the Workbench.

    To completely remove the clock press:

        Left-Amiga + Ctrl + Q

The screen will beep to signal that Clock really has quit.
