How to use 3DSolids 3DSolids is an ABasiC program located on this disk. It may seem a little difficult to use for those of us that are not familiar with three dimensional rotating graphics, and this is not a tutorial on that subject, it is just a few examples keystoke by keystroke that I tried that worked fairly well. After you have loaded this program in (by clicking on the ABasic Icon to bring up Basic) and then typing (at the OK prompt) run 3dsolids you will get a screen of text. After you have read this screen press the RETURN key once and you will be asked: (D)isk file or (K)eyboard input? (D or K) you should answer by pressing --- D (NO return is required) For Disk Directory, Input (DF0:), (DF1:) or (N)one? your answer is --- N Enter Drive: Filename to load. (DF_:Filename)? if the disk is in the internal drive type: DF0:Columbia.3D if the disk is in the external drive type: DF1:Columbia.3D After a few moments you will get a message and a prompt. ENTER OBSERVER LOCATION (X,Y,Z) : ? you should then type: 500,90,90 ENTER COORDINATES LOOKED AT X,Y,Z you type: 10,10,10 DO YOU WANT TO DO AN X,Y LOOP? it is asking if you would like the shuttle to rotate! your answer should be Y for yes HOW MANY DEGREES TOTAL ROTATION ? your answer is 90 HOW MANY DEGREES ROTATION PER FRAME ? answer is 10 At this point the screen should change color and in a few moments the shuttle should appear and after a few more seconds the screen will re-position and the shuttle should have moved 10 degrees, this will happen 9 times for a a total of 90 degrees.
