Welcome to C.L.Index Pro v2 - probably the best guide to the Amiga's Disk 
Operating System commands since the first C.L.Index was unleased in 1994.  
My name is Mike Richmond and I am seventeen years old, I am currently an 
A Level student, but I am working as a freelance musician on several 
projects varying from Freeware PD to full blown commercial titles.  I have
also compiled three best-selling PD music utilitiy comilations.  And I have
a head the size of Dolly Parton's <CENSORED>

C.L.Index was produced on a 2Mb A500+ with 2 disk drives (but unfortunately
no hard drive) and Kickstart 2.04.

			   Why This Title Exists

On the second of August, 1993, I had finally had enough - Amiga Owners
deserve better than the manual that comes with the computer (if indeed you 
got one) so I started on a revolutionary project - a guide to the CLI based
around the interface most users were familiar with - Workbench.  ALthough 
this guide is NOT intended to teach you everything about the CLI, it does
provide a helpful, IMMEDIATE guide to all the commands - just put the disk 
in the drive and, after a few clicks of the mouse, you have full help with
the command you were using.

With C.L.Index v2, I think I have created the ultimate on-disk guide to the 
Amiga's Shell.  Perhaps you agree...

I hope you enjoy using C.L.Index as much as I enjoyed writing it.  (not at 
all :-)  I would like to regularly update this program so if you have any 
comments or problems, write to me and I will try to fix them in the next

only.  If there are any GLARING problems with this version, I will make a
minor update (as I did with version 1.1), which will be made available as
