                                Exchange

        Exchange enables you to keep an eye on any Commodities Exchange
programs you have opened. Commodities are found on the Extras 2.0 disk in
the Tools/Commodities drawer, and are detailed in the section on 
Commodities.

        Double-clicking on Exchange opens a window. In the centre of the
window is a list of any Commodities that have been opened. You select a
commodity by click on its name, and information about the commodity is
display in the three fields underneath. These give the title, a
description of what the Commodity does and its status. To the right are
the action gadgets, which control the commodity.

        Show: If the selected Commodity has a window, clicking on Show
brings it to the front, or opens it if the window is closed. If the
Commodity doesn't have a window, the item is ghosted and you can't click on
it. The keyboard short-cut is Right Amiga-S.

        Hide: This closes the window for the Commodity, if it has one, but
leaves the Commodity running. You can also close the window by clicking on
its close gadget. or choosing Hide from the window's menu. If the Commodity
doesn't have a window, the Hide gadget is ghosted and can't be clicked on.
The keyboard equivalent is Right Amiga-G.

        Enable: Clicking on this gadget turns the Commodity on if it is
disabled. The keyboard Short-cut is Right Amiga-E.

        Disable: Turns a Commodity off temporarily without actually
quitting it. The keyboard short-cut is Right Amiga-D. You can turn the
Commodity back on again by clicking on Enable.

        Kill: Turns the Commodity off permanently. If a Commodity has
window, the choosing Quit in its menu has the same effect as Kill. The
keyboard short-cut Right Amiga-K.

        To the left of the Available Commodities are two gadgets which
control the Exchange program itself.

        Hide: This closes the Exchange window, but leaves the programs
running. The keyboard short-cut is Right Amiga-H. If you want to view the
windows again, press Alt-Help on the Amiga keyboard.

        Quit: This quits the Exchange program and stops monitoring the
other Commodities. The keyboard short-cut is Right Amiga-Q.

        The Exchange program has two menus - Project and Action. The
Project menu has the two left hand gadgets options (Hide and Quit), and the
Action menu has the five right hand gadgets options (Show, Hide, Enable,
Disable and Kill). They all work the same as their corresponding gadgets.

        Workbench 3 Exchange program work exactly the same, but it's
found on the Extras 3.0 disk, in the Tool/Commodities drawer.
